2024 Black Excellence in Leadership Award

Black History Month marks the opening of applications for the  OTSU's Black Excellence in Leadership Award. This marks the fourth year we're offering Ontario Tech students the chance to nominate themselves or their peers for the OTSU's Black Excellence in Leadership Award.

This award recognizes a student who self-identifies as Black or Black and multi-racial who has demonstrated community-building in the Ontario Tech community and made a significant impact on the campus community through a leadership position. To apply to this award you must be a current student enrolled at Ontario Tech University. There is no academic standing requirement.

Two awards will be given to two recipients, and the winners will be chosen by a committee at the OTSU, approved by the Board of Directors and announced at the Black Excellence Gala. The two award winners will also be featured in a blog post on the OTSU’s news page!
