Club Ratification Opens
Lowkey, the best way to survive (and even thrive) at Ontario Tech is to be part of a club.
If you were part of a club last year and want to keep the good times rollin', set an alarm for Aug. 24 and fill out the forms to get your club officially ratified.
Club ratification is limited to up to 75 clubs for the year, so get those forms in as soon as possible.
Benefits to ratifying your club:
- Club funding $$$
- Training (helps you keep things on the level)
- Help booking campus spaces
- Official OTSU status (not technically a perk, but, hey!)
Things to know about the process (all of this is in the Club and Society Policy)
- Define Your Mission: Ensure your club has a unique purpose that does not copy existing groups. Select a name that describes your purpose and avoids the word "society."
- Recruit Executives: Form a leadership team of at least 4 executives (President, VP Finance, VP Events, VP Communications).
- Gather General Members: Recruit at least 10 general members, excluding your executive team.
- Check Eligibility: Verify all executives and members are fee-paying Ontario Tech University students.
- Submit by September 30th: Complete and upload your online Club Ratification Package before the deadline.
