Learn about policies, platforms, and properly planning events

Attention all club and society members! We have a very special event for all of you: CLUBS TRAINING!

While it may not sound all that glamorous, trust us that it is (in a ‘this-is-important-stuff-that-I-need-to-know’ kind of way). So, what do you need to know?

  • Time: Friday, October 3, 5:00–7:00 PM
  • Location: SCI 1240 (in-person capacity: 75 students)
  • Format: Hybrid—in-person and online streaming available
  • Requirement: Each club/society must send a minimum of 2 members (executive or general)
  • Free food: Pizza for the first 70 students who attend in person!
  • Registration: need to pre-register

All clubs and societies must send at least two executive members so they can learn about event planning procedures, clubs policy changes, and using the new clubs platform, Rubric.

Benefits to training:

  • Clubs policy updates: understand the clubs policy and how the club and society program functions, and review policy updates
  • Rubric: Understand the basics of Rubric, the online platform that houses all clubs information and forms
  • Risk awareness: gain an understanding of event risk processes and university risk requirements
  • Events planning: Learn to plan events according to policy so that event planning runs smoothly
  • Financial documentation: review the basics of financial documentation so reimbursements are processed correctly
