Heart Month is a time to remind ourselves of the importance of cardiovascular health and an opportunity to focus on what we can do to improve our heart health.
Here are a few ways to maintain your heart health this and every month:
- Get a solid sleep every night
- Don’t smoke
- Daily cardio exercises (simple jumping jacks or mountain climbers are great in the cold months)
- Eat foods like walnuts, blueberries, edamame, tofu, or oatmeal
- Stay active
- Stress-reducing activities like meditation, journaling, or socializing
